Classic Twist

Cedar Old Fashioned

The first cocktail ever defined, aged in Yoshino cedar's shadow.

Glass Rocks
Garnish Orange peel

The Story

The Old Fashioned is the cocktail at its most elemental — spirit, sugar, bitters, water — a formula first defined in print in 1806. When later generations of bartenders began dressing drinks up, purists ordered theirs made "the old-fashioned way", and the name stuck for good.

Kamiki Intense, with its deeper cedar aging and warming spice, gives the old formula a Japanese inflection: sandalwood and incense where oak vanilla would usually sit. Build it slowly — dilution and temperature are the real recipe.
